The Plan
Planning is bringing the future into the present so that you can do something about it now.
~ Alan Lakein

I’ve always been a planner.  I freakin’ love my Franklin Covey planner.  It goes everywhere I go.  I love calendars.  I love making lists.  It’s how I wake up in the mornings.  Brew my coffee, grab my planner.  Not only do I plan my day, I also dream big.  I create a world that is my future. Big, juicy goals.

These big, juicy goals are centered on the areas that hold a sacredness for me.  The five ancient elements - Earth, Fire, Water, Air, Spirit.   I base my Health Coaching on them too.  I feel we need all five to be a fully, vibrational, healthy human.  Earth is my nutrition.  Eating a diet of living, nutrient filled food from abundant Mother Nature.  Fire is my fitness, which in all honesty needs a bit of work at the moment.  I used to be in dance class 4 hours a night and for the past, I can’t even count how many years, I’ve just been sitting behind a desk.  I will work on this.  Next is Water which is my self-care.  These are my quiet moments where I recharge my energy, relaxation and healing therapies like essential oils and massage.  Then we have Air which are my relationships - Family, friends, social events, school, community centers, giving back by volunteering.  I could spend a little more time on this element.  And finally, Spirit is … well, spirit.  It is my spiritual practice – meditation, walks in nature, going within.

So a big part of these quiet daily planning sessions are imagining my perfect dream life.  What would that life look like?  Who do I have to become to live that life? I dug deep and found that the four words that resonated with that life are LOVE, HEALTH, ABUNDANCE and FREEDOM.  These have become mantra, my “WHY”.  So how do I fit these wonderful words into my life and move into my future?

LOVE - I try to approach every day and every situation with love.  Am I perfect at it?  No freakin’ way but I’m finding it easier to do each day.

HEALTH - This has been a main focus for a number of years.  Since 2006 to be exact.  2006 was the year the movie, The Secret came out.  It’s when I started learning about vibrational energy and quantum physics.  It was then that I first learned of David Wolfe and Raw Foods as a way of life.  I’ve been fascinated by the human body and energy healing ever since. It is why I attended The Institute for Integrative Nutrition for my Health Coach Certification and why I became a Certified Reiki Healer. Now I help others find their HEALTH.  (Yes, in BIG CAPITAL letters!)

ABUNDANCE - This one also started from the movie, The Secret.  (If you haven't seen it, you should check it out!)  This is where I learned to dream big.  I’ve been studying all the great mentors out there who teach people how to manifest their future.  I am a big believer of “What you dream about, comes about”.  I’ve always loved the saying… If you think you can or can’t, you’re right.  I would rather think I can.  All the time.  And the frequency of abundance is LOVE so that is another reason why I try to approach every area of my life from LOVE.

FREEDOM - Freedom was a little harder for me to figure out but when I did, it hit me like a huge tsunami wave.  It brought me to my knees and I wept.  I wept for finally figuring out that I don’t have to be a slave to obligation.  That I am free.  To choose what I want, when I want.  And how I want to live.  To actually start living.  To wake up to all my possibilities and my potential.  To explore.  To adventure.  To LOVE.

And I have to thank Young Living Essential Oils for getting me to this point.  They gave me a platform on which I could find my WHY.  That I could take this giant leap to FREEDOM and ABUNDANCE.  They are a company of LOVE and HEALTH.  It all connected for me.  The light bulb turned on and I never want to turn it off.  I am so excited for my future and my limitless life.  (P.S. - Let me know if you are interested in learning more about the opportunity of Young Living!)

Okay, so let’s get to the plan, shall we?  Even though I am a consummate planner, I do leave room for flexibility.  So I have a plan but there is room for movement within it.  Here is what the outline of my timeline looks like:

2/24 - Last day of work!
2/25 & 2/26 - Run errands, take care of obligations
2/27 - Fly out to Las Vegas
2/28 & 3/1 - Go apartment hunting in Henderson, NV and sign a lease
3/2 - Fly back to Boston
3/4 through 3/12 - Pack like a madwoman, Get rid of all my furniture
3/13 or 3/14 - Movers come to pack up all my personal belongings
3/15 - Clean the apartment one final time
3/16 - Spend the night with my best friend in the world!  (You know you you are!)
3/17 - Start my road trip out west. Averaging 8ish hours of driving a day.  First stop… Youngstown, OH
3/18 - Day 2 - Davenport, IL
3/19 - Day 3 - Grand Island, NE
3/20 - Day 4 - Georgetown, CO
3/21 - Day 5 - Drive over the Rockies to Lehi, UT
3/22 through 3/24 - Attend a 3 day Yoga and Essential Oil retreat with Young Living
3/25 - Last leg of drive to Henderson, NV

People keep asking me… why Henderson, NV.  And my answer … Why Not?

Until next time….
